“A female’s glow attracts
small things to eat
and pointy, vile mates.”
From Angler by Lauren Ivers

Michaela “Ela” Das Gupta
Project Manager
Having already completed an internship in editing and translation, this was the next challenge Ela was looking forward to. She’s always had a love of books, but detoured into the natural sciences before deciding on a career in publishing. Besides books, she has a fascination for photography and loves long walks.

Laura Flynn
Project Assistant
Laura was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. She completed her BA in English and History in UCD. After college she worked in a bookshop, which ignited her interest in the publishing industry. She hopes to work in editorial in the future. She has a particular grá (love) for classic literature and contemporary literary fiction, especially by Irish writers like Claire Keegan and Anne Enright. Her other hobbies include being a massive Swiftie and watching Ireland win rugby matches (don’t mention the All Blacks and the World Cup, it still hurts!).

Brandi Borkosky
Business Development and Sales
Brandi completed a degree in Political Science before moving to Scotland for her MLitt in Publishing Studies. Her free time is spent in cafes writing psychological fiction.

Megan Ritchie
Production Manager
Megan is a University of Stirling English Graduate. Alongside her role as Production Controller in Stryvling Press, Megan is working towards her Postgraduate Degree in Publishing. In her spare time, she likes to read, rock climb, swim, or do anything outdoorsy.

Kay Gean
Production Assistant
Kay is a postgraduate Publishing student from Dunblane, Scotland. After completing her Undergrad in English Studies, she became intrigued in the process behind the creation of the books she read every day as a part of that course. These days her biggest hobbies include reading and book binding.

Amie Greenhalgh
Design & Layout
Amie graduated from the University of Exeter in 2022 with a BA in English before studying Publishing at Stirling. Alongside her degree, Amie is Head of Digital for Stirling’s Student Newspaper, Brig. Her interests include reading, hiking, travel and blogging. In the future, she is looking to pursue a career that combines her love of exploring and publishing.

Olliver MacIver
Editorial
Ollie is an English Studies graduate from Stirling University with a passion for poetry and the arts. Originally from the Highlands, he moved to Stirling in 2019 in search of electricity and a degree. Thankfully he found both.

Laëtitia Fox
Editorial Lead
After studying Slavic languages in London, Prague and Lyon, Laëtitia worked for several years in the film industry, subtitling films and series for American streaming platforms. She then decided to go part-time and return to university to learn more about her other passion: books! In the future, she hopes to combine her interests in languages, books and films by joining a translation/media rights department in a publishing house. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the violin, going to concerts and hiking.

Delaney Dannert
Editorial
Delaney is from California, but she is thrilled to be doing her Master’s programme here. She loves reading and listening to music, but never at the same time. She has thoroughly enjoyed working on this edition of Stryvling and is proud of the work we’ve put forward.

Estelle Bollei
Marketing Lead
Estelle graduated in International Management and Spanish in 2023 and is now studying Publishing in Stirling to pursue her love of books. Originally from Turin, Italy, she has spent the last five years in Scotland and fallen in love with the country despite the constant wind and rain. In her free time, she likes to read and, most of all, crochet and knit presents for her friends.

Jasmine Bolich
Marketing
Jasmine, originally from the Pacific Northwest, moved to Los Angeles in her mid 20’s to pursue filmmaking. She finished up Bachelor’s degrees in Sustainability and Film & Media Studies as well as a Master’s of Advanced Study in Film from Arizona State University. Jasmine transitioned to University of Stirling to advance her trans-disciplinary study.
