Kortnie Pimentel graduated in Creative Writing in 2020 and is now studying Publishing in Stirling. Originally from Idaho, USA, she shares the Scot’s love of ‘tatties.’ She also enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends.
Emma Ohirko
Project Assistant
Emma Ohirko majored in agricultural economics but moved into publishing thanks to a push from a former history professor. Originally from Calgary, Canada, she loves to hike in the mountains, and is inspired by visual and culinary arts.

Jordan White
Production Controller
Jordan White is a postgraduate Publishing student from Nashville, Tennessee. Along with being the Production Controller for this issue of Stryvling, she has worked with SYP Scotland on their annual conference and the Saltire Shadow Awards.
Emily Dunn
Production Assistant
Emily Dunn is a history graduate from northern England. She has worked in editorial for career advice websites but is eager to gain experience in book publishing. When not reading, she enjoys photography, hiking, kayaking, and rail travel.

Katie Gill
Marketing Team Lead
After acquiring a degree at Glasgow in English Literature, Katie was keen to pursue her love of books and was delighted to discover the master’s degree in Publishing at Stirling. She enjoys long walks in the sun with her schnauzer Buddy.
Fiona Graham

Fiona Graham is a lover of westies, plants, and good books. As an autistic woman, Fiona passionately believes the world should hear more diverse voices, which is why she is entering the publishing sector.

Yuxuan Gong is a girl from China. She likes to travel and sing. In addition, she loves small animals and owns a cat called Simba. She is working hard to become a good publisher.

Yuling is from China. She loves travelling, eating high-protein, low-calorie foods, and staying at home on rainy days to read books. She loves Highland cows with long hair covering their eyes and polite foreigners who say ‘Hi’ and ‘Sorry’.

Business Development and Sales Manager
Alison Taylor is from Calgary, Canada. She studied English Language and Literature at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada.
Megan Frances King
Business Development and Sales Assistant
After earning her MA in geography, Megan freelanced as a science copyeditor/translator for eight years before embarking on her MLitt in publishing. Originally from B.C., Canada, Megan currently lives in Scotland with her husband and dog.

Lara Cortis graduated from the University of Malta with a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in modern and contemporary literature and criticism. She enjoys coastal walks and Italian rap.
Alec Smith
Editorial Team
Alec Smith graduated with a degree in History and Politics from the University of Stirling in 2022. As an editor for Stryvling Press, he combs meticulously through others’ work and points out where punctuation should and shouldn’t be.
Elizabeth Stewart

Elizabeth studied English Literature and History during her undergraduate degree, and pursued publishing after she realised her passion for editing. She can usually be found annotating a book with her two dogs sprawled across her lap.

Design and Layout Team Lead
Lisa Zammit honoured in English Literature but was intrigued by the idea of publishing books. She’s from a small island in the Mediterranean called Malta and spends her time reading, taking photos of everything and dreaming.

Emily completed her undergraduate degree in English and History and throughout her time studying she discovered that she had an aspiration to get into publishing. In her spare time, she likes to be outdoors and does some beekeeping.
